—Charles Trumbull
Issue 10.3 | 22 October 2010

Alan, With Words
the light in your eyes still smiling…….
Traditionally, haiku only encompasses one moment. Introducing a second moment weekens this piece for me.
from her dark hip the moon's curve
day moon sleeping in this morning
the moon fills her depression returns the dark forces amass
awesome
much love gillena
moonrise the deck slick with silver light
yes, yes… I am fond of naked haiku
Not an urban image, but these trees are eerily spectacular at dusk anywhere.
old dam . . . a single ghost gum glows at moonrise
Azami haiku magazine Special Spring/Summer Edition (Japan, 1997) , ed. Alan Summers
This haiku is perfect in so many ways…
nightfall– the penumbra disappears from her hip
