Ah, very nice! Which I do not mean as 'faint praise'. Just that even superlatives would scarcely do justice to this piece. I think it's as close to perfect as any poem can get.
This holds a world-weary tone, all the promises the world makes–a moon in every puddle–surrounded by the truth of the slums. But the optimist is also at work here–for noticing so many.
I agree with you. This post is truly inspiring. I like your post and everything you share with us is current and very informative, I want to bookmark the page so I can return here from you that you have done a fantastic job

Strong haiku, and it's surprising how some slums, especially in Africa, are better run and fairer to people, than our big often anonymous cities.

Thank you, Martin, for this reverently mysterious image. I feel a mood in it, akin to Frost’s image, “The woods are lovely, dark and deep”.

For you to sleep well at night, the aesthetic, the quality, has to be carried all the way through.

Take the great forest sell-off last winter. Not one of them leapt to the defence of the public forest estate, and the impression you got.
