night of ghosts
bumping in the bare branches
the lost kite

Very happy to see this Holloween haiku by Jane. It is perfect.
There was a time I saw a lot of abandoned kites in trees, much rarer now.
Glorious opening line, wonderful alliteration acting and becoming as subliminal onomatopoeia, and all down to a single lost kite, or maybe not [enter Vincent Price's voice].
Beautiful memory is a kite !!
Weather of ghosts,
Or of souls ,
Night keeps record.
Kite is in safe hands…
lingers within the moonbeams
Resonates with Jane's voice. Lovely!
