    I love this, Jeff. It takes me right back to an afternoon in France when I saw my first (and only) kingfisher. My husband and I were having a lazy afternoon picnic by a stream in Brittany with our young children, who were playing on bales of hay. For me, the bird split the afternoon as it woke me up with its flash of colour! A delightful haiku.
