in summer rain

emptied of rain
a cloudless
September afternoon
nice work carol... and 1500 miles inland...
prairie stars
bogie and bacall
embrace on the horizon
deluge of rain-
the sky opened and
poured out its heart
life's a blur --
last day
of one's last winter
sea storm
the lost
horizon
After the summer rain,
under the new triumphal arch
the swallows' flying
sunburst -
billowing autumnal day
blurred in teary eyes
