estate sale--
the rake lies untouched
among brown leaves

@JJ May 2004. Published in GINYU in July 2004.

About the author: My name is JÖRGEN JOHANSSON, living in Lidköping, Sweden, and I'm a member of the on-line CHERRY POETRY CLUB. I wrote my first haiku in April, 2001, and started, of course, to write in my native language, publishing a couple of haiku "pamphlets" on my own RIVER MAN publ. co. In March of 2003 I wrote my first haiku in English, and haven't looked back since; i now write DIRECTLY into English.

    Pensive haiku.
    A brown study revealing
    visions of sad delight.

I know it is the feelings, and depends on the other haiku for its visuals, but it IS a response.

    chilly autumn morn
tiny webs amidst the grass --
    gatherer of dew

    burnt pine straw -
    remembrance, good and bad times
    life's ebbs and flows
