even the lake has turned
red
a few raindrops-
the cardinals
dig for breakfast
first frost
the green in the field
first hard frost---
the face of the pansy
shows its age
first frost
sugar coated leaves
faded sunshine
withered late bloomer --
fragrance of the rose lingers on
first frost -
steam-driven people
at the bus stop
hoarfrost
through his unkempt beard --
rivulet scar from a past winter
