both hands surround
my battered tea mug

    against the wind-
    he wears gloves
    three times too big

    Suddenly a ring
    all around the bedside lamp-
    the vapours of tea

    it's messy making
tea with leaves that float on top
    i much prefer tea bags

    lingering thoughts ...

    warm entanglement
her soft hand, my rough hand

    Patrick,

I hope that the mug is ceramic: chips, cracks and
whatnots. Plastic doesn't work well with coffee
either, or even a jigger of whiskey; enjoyed.

    Always,

    Gene

    bone chilling breeze-
    both hands
    embrace the other

here's as real a phenomena as it
was in dixie back in the day of
    g-men and my grandaddy
    best,
    levon

    early spring
    the scent of lilac mingles
    with the sour mash

    old still
    still
    bubbling

awful haiku, obvious, and self centered.
