    good morning deb,
again, glad to see your work posted in tinywords. reading "about the author", i found myself laughing, while thinking, mine mostly appear in my mind.

the sun hasn't gotten here, yet.
in three hours, i'll send it your way.

funny, the things that cross one's mind, while awaiting inspiration

    tropical resort
    lunching on the veranda
    brightly feathered guests

Deb's and the 'ku(s) above brought me back to Hawaii (for a lovely brief moment) and while still waiting for temps here at home to elevate that was (for me) a definite AHA! moment...thanks!

    Bill:

Well, one could "resort" to those (tasty?) ants just as those who did with the (yummy) feathered "guests"!

    Mixx:

The ants have departed—too considerate, I guess, to overstay their unwelcome.

    after the wait -
    pale blue shell fragments
    cross the lawn
    fledgling in flight
