of the linen cupboard –
a moth

You've created a good visual imagery!

Neat!
Well expressed!!
Yes! Very original, but also inclusive, as I've experienced a moth or other creature, creased or folded. Thank you!
This one reminded me of a terrifying experience I had:
Craving toast...
But from the cupboard
A moth explodes
A fantastical image. It reminds me a happening since my childhood:
On the old jacket
some piping hot buttons...
young moths
terrified of a moth? good thing you don't
live on elm street aj.
Well Ping, it wasn't so much the moth that was terrifying as it was the unexpectedness of having a giant, ugly butterfly burst out of my bread cupboard and flying aggressively at my head. And had it entered my mouth, I could have choked on the wee beastie, which was, in fact, freakishly large.
I love the parallel between the implied linens which are folded in the linen closet and the folded moth. Wonderful!
This is sad and sweet at the same time. Just beautiful. The visual is instant and poignant. I love it.
