winter storm
seagulls are outshouting
the waves

About the author: I live in the Polish seaside city of Gdansk. I like thinking and analysing, but mostly I appreciate the beauty of simplicity. That's why I like haiku. I am better able to understand its spirit thanks to abc.haiku.pl, the online forum where I'm writing. Apart from poetry I'm interested in the world view of Stanislaw Lem and the anthropology of culture. I'm trying to be useful helping people suffering from cancer and teaching them how to write poetry.

Thanks, Bill. It's my old one, written a year ago. Though, nothing changed by the sea :)

Gosia: I liked your hiaku, and I liked what you wrote about yourself. It's terrific to hear that you are helping cancer patients to think of and write hiaku. It would be neat to hear some of their hiaku. Keep it up. You are doing good work in all directions.
