lovely ku. I empathize completely, as a pianist, after a concert piece, I take my seat in the audience and find my heart in my throat, pulse still racing.

Thank you for this...truly "spot on"!

    And, just for fun...

    hoofbeats
    sudden thundering
    old flame returns ~

    Grzegorz,

Your little poem reached my heart accurately!!!
    Good one!

But pray... how do you pronounce your name. I thought Sanskrit names were tough...

    warmly,
    _kala

    Thank you all.
I'm glad you like my ku.

    Kala,

It is easy - say [J]e t'aime (I love you)
in French, then G[r]ego[r] in English,
    and then replace [r] with [J] ;-)

    best wishes,
    Gregor

I do respond to your ku, "sionek"
That adrenalin thrust takes over and sort of leaves you in an alien place. As a visual artist for fifty years, I've had my shares of those highs and lows. How fortunate we are to have that kind of excitement in our lives!

    Pete,

If it is a cliche, you should have no problem to find
the websites/poems, where "running heart" means
not only "beating heart", but also:
    1) the heart taking part in the race,
    2) the heart continuing the race,
    3) the heart remembering the finished race

Find and enjoy them, as the readers above
    enjoy my ku.

    best wishes,
    Gregor
