prairie sunset
the glow of the cattleman's
branding iron
still warm
the coffee now bitter
cold descends
stoking the fire
beans and bacon
morning comes
too soon....

Ditto cinematic - but nonetheless 'real'. Great stuff.

Ditto cinematic and good, like the movie western versions of movies like the 7 samurai.
Cinematic, dramatic, but not in the least overstated. A Markowski gem.
Not bad
this haiku,
but I have seen better.
smoke from the fire
snaking cross the glades--
this glowing sunset
Ed, You've teased all my senses... either directly or subliminally!

Nice haiku. Sunset is time rich indeed of great views to write about.
