About Billy Antonio

Billy T. Antonio is from the Philippines. He is at present an elementary grades teacher. He was a fellow for fiction at the 44th U.P. National Writers Summer Workshop in Baguio City. His short story, The Kite, has been broadcast on 4EB-FM, 98.1, Brisbane, Australia. His haiku moss-covered well was awarded a Commendation in the 2nd Sharpening the Green Pencil Haiku Contest 2013 sponsored by the Romanian Kukai Group. His haiku flying in circle was selected as one of the four best haiku in the1st International Wilderness Haiku Contest of 2011 by the New Mexico Wilderness Alliance, Albuquerque, New Mexico. His haiku bamboo leaves glisten was awarded an honorable mention in the 13th Annual Mainichi Haiku Contest (International Category) in Mainichi, Japan in 2009. His haiku taro leaf was exhibited at the Bend Haiku Weekend in Oregon, U.S.A. Some of his fiction and poetry have been published in the fiction anthology Only Men Please which was launched in Bangalore, India, World haiku Association Haiga Contest, Mainichi Daily News, Rose Red Review, Tincture Journal, Red River Review, Akitsu Quarterly, Three Line Poetry, Asahi Haikuist Network, Sharpening the Green Pencil, New Mexico Wilderness Alliance Wild Guide 2011, Anak Sastra, Philippines Free Press, Philippine Graphic, Ani, Liwayway, Sirmata, Tinig and The Literary Apprentice.
