This haiku breaks my heart in such a simple, beautiful way. Excellent work!
An empty bowl;
The cat is somewhere
In the neighborhood
The dog's eyes
brighten up suddenly:
the owner's children
abandoned dog
noisy city
seeking little boy

Stray cats,
there are none in Mexico.
They are eaten.

Hi Ramesh,
Nice to see you here again!
Your poem talks in simple ways which is extremely touching.
And Judith - here is a mistaken identity !!
K. Ramesh is not me .... !
i am new to haiku.

Hi Ramesh,
What a beautiful haiku. You have caught the essence of hope and despair.

Hi Ramesh,
Your haiku was simply superb. For a few moments, I felt as if I were a abandoned dog.
