Piazza San Marco the snow falling in my selfie

The subject of many famous paintings, once called ‘the drawing room of Europe’ by Napolean, now the incidental background for thousands of tourist selfies.

Poignant juxtaposition.
alone in Paris the temptation to photoshop you in
using the word 'in'
"the snow falling in my selfie"
just gives it a whole other dimension. The word 'on' would have conveyed the same picture–Piazza San Marco, and a snowy day.
Choosing 'in' adds to the richness, as though the selfie is a box, and the falling snow is also falling in the box.
For those who don't know – Piazza San Marco is St. Mark's Square in Venice.
I enjoyed the haiku and agree with the word reply about the word, "on." It makes all the difference in the world. Thank you for all the haiku replies.
