Love the way the "l" and "s" sounds in "carelessness" take a while to unfurl and fall. Love the closure of "m" sounds in the first line. Love the slight shift in the initial vowel sounds from "awe" to "eh" to "ee[k]." I appreciate and envy your sprezzatura haiku writing.
Gaby, Thank you, I’m really glad you liked the sounds and the sprezzatura (new word for me). I wanted to give the feeling that leaves are coming to their finish, their getting casual, even carelessness.
