For 20 years a recorded reader of nonfiction books for Radio Talking Book of Minnesota, Marylyn came to haiku in her 70's and is pleased to have found a supportive group in Albuquerque. Her haiku, senryu, and tanka have been published in U.S. and British journals.

So simple and effective. I was stilled when reading this poem, remembering my mother’s shoebox of photos, going through them with her many many years and again on my own years after she died.

Wow. First, I saw myself with the shoebox on my lap, going through the photos. Then I saw a coffin. This little poem covers much territory.
