grandma’s well the water tasted like iron and cold— that darkness from which I’m made

It's so good to see your work again!
white granite my grandmother's hands on my uncle's grave
Great, evocative, deep.
Loved this one Chuck, the way the memory of deep, dark water and the taste of iron echo family ties and bloodlines! And a hint of cold mystery. Wonderful texture!
This is wonderful, shiver-down-the-spine stuff.
Nice.
Strong poem. Good work.
Nicely done… poignant!
the river barge leaks rust in the blood
Thank you for writing Charles!
Powerful poem.. // Peter.
Good to have a tanka that's different.
