About Mary Emma Dutriex Pierson
Mary Emma Dutreix Pierson is a retired speech-therapist in New Orleans. Emma has an extensive background in classic ballet. She has danced with The Loyola Ballet, The New Orleans Opera House Ballet,The NORD Ballet, and with the New Orleans Symphony.
Mother of four, grandmother of two, she is also a member of the New Orleans Haiku Society and has chaired the Louisiana State Poetry Spring Festival for the past 20 years.
