  1. Thank you. I’ve been watching herons for a long time. When we lived in Illinois, I saw this poem at a nearby pond (that became like a second yard). In recent years, I haven’t seen them as often. On Sunday morning, however, I saw one flying flying over Lake Michigan. More range and freedom here. Then I saw a second heron, and my husband saw both again last night. Such a feeling of blessing.
