I was looking for a haiku to try Dylan Tweney’s comment system. Up came your ‘wintry creek’ and I didn’t have to pretend — it ss delightful! Thanks for sharing.

I loved this Haiku. It made me long all the more for spring. I never think of California
as having winter. I live in N.Y. State and we
are a long way from Spring although it officially starts this month. Helen Kinsella
to Margaret H-S re your ku. It is alright. Please say hello to Jerry T.B. for me. I have been out of haikuland for some months again & i have changed my email adrs. You have to be more specific than this one if you want to write great stuff. JTB’s on a widow was great.— E

Love the feeling of warmth on a wintry day which you conveyed by having the two birds paddle close together.
Nice idea. Good image, involving and ultimately satisfying.
