I enjoy K. Ramesh’s work perfusely. He has also been published in bottle rockets:a collection of short verse where his style fits quite well. I find his poems original, clean and multilayered in ways that sneak up on you. Just like finding the tennis ball under the leaves, an experience many of have had. His creativity often takes haiku into fresh territory, a much needed thing.

so many stars * * *
just before dawn
i search for mars
covered stream
the place where i dropped
a fifty-cent coin
in the garden
while adults picking weeds
child is looking for flowers

summer, blue skies
wisp of a moon
my youthful dreams, revived
busy tennis club;
a slum baby
watches thru the fence
slum baby?
set off my imagination, specially next to a tennis club
–
incessant crowing–
no lack of roosters
for the pot today
