Born and raised in the USA, I have been writing and publishing haiku since the early 70’s. My work has appear in in many periodicals including Dragonfly, Tightrope, Brussels Sprouts, Frogpond, Haiku Harvest, Modern Haiku , Heron’s Nest, World Haiku Review, WorldWall, Simply Haiku, Poets Market, and the occasional anthology. Sometimes it has won prizes though contests were entered more by accident than otherwise. View all posts by Nancy Smith

under the streetlight
a million ballet dancers
night of silence —
rain drops
