swarm of ants over
the dropped sweet
Another biggining-
after the devastating invasion
the field turns green again
forgotten cantaloupe
an army of ants
on the counter
farmer’s market
overflowing
sea of gladiolas
summer’s end
the deep-woods
cicadae, one after another
blue chicory
lining the roads…
now I know your name
half eaten tomatoe
fat green hornworm
dines alfresco
harvest–
winter tomatoes
just not the same!
