time for beddy-byes
I close the book
and turn off the light
autumn equinox…
crimson leaves sparkle
on the outfield grass
alone at the pew
savouring the whisper
of my prayers
Margaret
When I got your haiku I read it out loud.
A colleague replied
summer ends
turning the last leaf
of a book
as he has never written a haiku I promised to send it to you in case you liked it
howling winds, subside
red embers crackle
sleep comes easy, tonight
Opening a new book-
little by little,its leaves
are turning yellow
autumn sun settling low
off in the distance …
my winter
autumn
the pond fills
with leaves
Closing the book…
on the last cover
flowers of forget-me-not
night of solitude–
a scroll through
my directv nature channels
