after school-
driving and talking
in circles
the heron so still
i pause to think

the rhythmic drip
of the kitchen faucet…
winter deepens
late snack
harvest moon, total eclipse
tin key spirals round can
crisp winds swirling
childrens laughter
lifted to the heavens
cross winter skies
flight of balloons …
never to return home
