  1. Brrrrrrrr!

Cold rice is nice, but in Winter, I don’t think so.

Thank you for the haiku, I am now going to put the heater on because your haiku has come alive far too much for me. ;-)

  2. Very nice, Kala! I do share the feeling as a rice eater. Most rice eaten in Japan is from the northern parts.

    cold wave-
    the warmth of this rice
    from a snow country

  3. winter thaw
    on each piece of hirame
    a dab of wasabi

it’s very cold here in montreal. winter
    here is the real thing.

    deep snow
    the sushi chef
    fans a bowl of rice

  4. Very nice :) I can relate to your haiku being a South Indian and one who cannot live without rice.

    Dried cooked rice
    Being scraped
    From an empty plate

  5. last week, i purchased 20 lbs of rice, because of the price and my love for it.
i have 101 ways to prepare and serve rice; my favourite being left over rotisserie chicken, an assortment of veggies, and of course rice. prepared as a soup, and so very healthy.

    silent night
    arroz รก la carte
    fills the space
    she left behind
