Carol – I think your haiku is perfection. No changes needed, in my opinion. I love it because it immediately calls to memory vivid imagery… quite lovely! Thank you for sharing a tiny bit of beauty with us all. -Felica
Great! Really very beautiful. Feels so immediate and vivid. Transports us into the moment and situation. Reminds me of the mood of Issa’s or Chiyo Ni’s haikus. Very wonderful. Thanks for sharing!
I’m a huge fan, Carol, but this one falls a little flat for me. Maybe it’s because I’ve been reading quite a few “silence between” haiku? In any case, it’s great to read you here too.

Hi Carol,
I’m late, but wanted to say how
much I enjoyed this…the sensations
are strong!

This is perfect.
Every silence is unique, Carol, and you’ve added one to my experience.
