Marianne Paul is a Canadian poet and writer. Her book, Body Weight, A Collection of Haiku and Art, placed first in the Haiku Canada Marianne Bluger Award for chapbooks. Marianne is also honoured to have won the Jane Reichhold Memorial Haiga Competition, the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Haiku Festival, and Sonic Boom’s VISPO Contest for visual poems. Her latest book is the drift from here to where, a collection of haiga. Marianne’s happy obsessions include book arts and bookbinding, easy kayaking, shade gardening, and back porch birdwatching. She has started a small press, paper heron books, that features one of a kind hand-crafted chapbooks.
