Carole MacRury resides in Point Roberts, Washington, a unique peninsula and border town that inspires her work. She is a past board member of the Tanka Society of America and founding member of the United Haiku and Tanka Society. She has enjoyed judging and coordinating haiku and tanka contests in the past and is a former judge and founding member of the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival Haiku Invitational.
