   so much implied here… the aging and choices… it can be embraced by all in the multitude of ways and relationships… a heartfelt poem with a tender, and emphatic, yet questioning tone…

   Sounds very ominous. If it was downshifting I'd be more optimistic.

   For me, there is the beauty of a knowing acceptance in this poem — a letting go of all that keeps me from true understanding.
