returning geese…
do they, too, remember
a childhood home
—REBECCA DROUILHET
Enjoyed your haiku. There is something hauntingly homesick about the call of geese. Just as they have a calling, I feel it stirs something within us too.
warm regards,

I enjoyed this haiku. Just yesterday I looked up an old childhood address on google maps. Everything still looked as I remembered. I don’t have many memories of my childhood as we moved a lot. I feel like a returning geese. Thank you for sharing. Magnificently done.

Rebecca, this is beautiful. I used to hear geese, but now they don't make it down this far. I love the construction of your haiku.

I love how I can hear the geese without you having mentioned their call. Very evocative and emotive.
