Sad and beautiful, and an unexpected last line indicating life goes on.
Man, that’s good. We lost our 15-year old dog earlier this year, so it definitely hits home. Good to be reminded that it’s a cycle. We all are part of it.
This makes me think so much of my dog Astrid, who passed suddenly in January. We buried her out at our family cabin in the dead of winter. But the cabin is also a host of beautiful wildflowers. . .

Thank you so much Ingrid for your appreciation of my poem ….
All of the above that Ingrid said.
I thought how beautiful that life goes on and will bloom again.
Perfect!
Thank you, Barrie! This really speaks to me!

A wonderfully written haiku with great visuals presenting a very sad story… I have featured it at MyHaikuPond!
