  1. kristine, your haiku reminds me of a saying, brought to my attention by another resident-author, whom this thought was imprinted upon.

    the main source was from yatsuka ishihara, who in his enlightenment expressed, “tell about the truth as if it is false”

    some tend to say, “write about that which is false as though it’s true”

    in arguing the concept of “the haiku”, surprisingly this is rarely mentioned, even though many of the masters employed it.

    i wonder if this would be, because, it would undermine the tone of today, being, “using one’s imagination or interpretation should be avoided in writing the haiku”… HA
