I've been been writing haiku since the third grade, but I've been actively studying the form for about a year. I find the precision and presence of haiku very appealing. I also write articles, short stories and other kinds of poetry. I have been published in The Jade Dragon, San Diego Writer's Monthly, Algonquin West, Limestone Circle and Cotelydon.
