  1. nicely done, ann.

a delightful surprise at the end.

    definitely, two trains of thoughts.

    i loved those pivotal points.

does nature gets any better than this.

oh yes, memories of spring time…

however, i had to let go my thoughts of crab apples, for even in spring, as well as autumn, there are buds, some developing, some never to be developed. the shivering jay assisted the mystery. a little chilly come spring and fall.
ah ha, some will quickly point out, “the first jay”, truly a sign of spring.

not necessarily so, some jays make their appearance come autumn, through their migratory flights; akin to the first robin.

for brevity sake, i’ll submit to spring.

in spite of this, i enjoyed the piece, unless ann cares to respond in kind.

ann, i’ve enjoyed your other creations, even though there seems to be a sad overtone, which they share…
in this case, i ponder, should i be thinking of autumn…

  2. I really like this haiku. I wasn’t sure at first but I have been thinking about it for two days. I am particularly partial to crab apple blossoms and jays. Well done.
