  1. I like the combination of colour and contrast in elements this makes the haiku work. It is a basic/classic solution that works. Soft and hard, pale and stark, etc. Thanks for sharing – Deborah

    these first two lines “had” me mesmerized.
    then, i read the third line. i felt as though i didn’t see the truck coming; road kill came to mind.

    “translucence”: allowing light to pass through, however, not allowing forms or colors of objects
    to be distinctly visible.

    i am in agreement with deborah on her analysis of
    colour, contrast, basic, classic, soft, hard, pale and stark.

    but, i fail to see the connection.

    the third line seems to have been left out on a limb.
