I liked your haiku. I had never thought of it in that way.
I never will see fire the same way again. Amazing how such few words can change perception. Powerful stuff.

sparking forward
A treasure. Time to look for that collection of all time favorites again. This one reminds me of how flames comment on the swiftness of the passage of time, but “shifting darkness” puts another spin on that. Lovely.
chimney walls, dark and sooty:
warmth, logs yielded
even now, (ash) remains
very imaginative…shifting darkness
night time temple
flickering shadows
of gods and goddesses
midnight
dark place …
my imagination comes to life
