Takes me back to a summer river, when days were long and walking home from work could include a long detour…
A neat, subtle poem, almost understated, certainly evocative. I like it. I once wrote, in somewhat similar vein:-
incoming tide
the very last patch
of dry sand
december eve
tropical breeze ~
stirs the palms
autumn moon
the glow on
the persimmons
autumn breeze —
on the deserted beach
waves frolic
sweltering summer sun
steamy afternoon shower …
rain down
