My name is JÖRGEN JOHANSSON, living in Lidköping, Sweden, and I'm a member of the on-line CHERRY POETRY CLUB. I wrote my first haiku in April, 2001, and started, of course, to write in my native language, publishing a couple of haiku "pamphlets" on my own RIVER MAN publ. co. In March of 2003 I wrote my first haiku in English, and haven't looked back since; i now write DIRECTLY into English.

lakeside song
of a dreamer
embracing the woods
with silent creatures about–
full moon lights my path
Leafing overnight
the trees on the other bank-
first treefrogs’ song
leaving the emergency room
driving in dense fog
…echos of doctor’s diagnosis
pollywog pond

… frogs crooning
on stage of lily pads

“Morning mist” is a true gift, Jorgen. The concrete level reads beautifully and then – for those wishing to wander farther – it opens almost mythically to tens of lovely ‘beyonds’ one can fill in from personal experiece. Thank you, Nancy
