to silence the river chatter . . .
I expect the crickets know

Andrew – I quite liked your haiku.
cricket’s song
morning silence broken
pillow buries head
river song
the gush trailed by
splashes of children and laughter
stillness
someone’s footprints on white sand
over night rain marks
I too loved your haiku.
A cat named Crickets
breathing his last in my lap
still purring
middle of the night
downpour …
drowning of the cricket’s chirps
