against the window

snowman
so alone
in the snow
masterful! splendid!
first day
it is as it was
winter wind
Beautiful, Marjorie
from the holly-
a cardinal
waiting out the storm
old dog eyes
clouded, watching
snowflake’s silent fall
the stillness within the snowfall
Snowy morning
all seems white
even the faint call of a crow.
Delighted.
Season’s greetings.
John
the scent of Christmas
fills the cool air —
but no snow
–
blanket of chilly rain
lies cross the street
