new moon …
an empty hollow
on your side of the bed

I've just published my first book, Ghost Maps: Poems for Carl Hruska, which won the CBC Canadian Literary Award and is currently short-listed for the League of Canadian Poets award for best book of poetry by a woman. I live, as you might guess, in Canada -- in Kitchener, Ontario. Haiku are an old passion for me. I keep a daily weblog at www.vividpieces.net, and can be reached by e-mail at erin (at) vividpieces.net View all posts by Erin Noteboom
new moon
lace dances
in the wind
winter dawns
night lets go, with a sigh —
that hollow feeling within
–
new lovers embrace
eclipsing the eclipsing
silver moon above
The first quarrel…
although if the honeymoon
did even not end
So cold on the road
I hear the snow whispering
burn the love letters.
wind’s billowing
displace white curtains
aurora polaris arc
