My name is JÖRGEN JOHANSSON, living in Lidköping, Sweden, and I'm a member of the on-line CHERRY POETRY CLUB. I wrote my first haiku in April, 2001, and started, of course, to write in my native language, publishing a couple of haiku "pamphlets" on my own RIVER MAN publ. co. In March of 2003 I wrote my first haiku in English, and haven't looked back since; i now write DIRECTLY into English.

autumn garden
children comparing
persimmons
from the greenhouse
carrying moonlight
a white peony
winter’s orchard-
the birds impatient
for new pears
well done.
August sunset
the deep red
of an upturned radish
After the breakfast,
kernels of red apple precisely
on the seed catalogue
barren field
cross the horizon
grey clouds
growing, at the end of day
Tomato ripens
on the window sill
sun sets in the garden.
winter night
the core of an apple
full of seeds
in the garden
grandfather tutors
generational seeds
against ancient skies
unicorns in the garden
alabaster spires
tchaikovsky’s concerto
borne on winter winds ~
her perfume lingers
