still pond
the sound of her
heart
someone’s trash
by a quiet pond . . .

Forest at December’s end
the wind is arguering
with the bare woods.
I wish our canoists, rowers, etc… would be still for a moment…
autumn twilight …
swan shapes separate
for the lone boatman
U.K. haiku publication, Snapshots 10, 2004
before I get there
the sound of the weir –
floating dandelion

sunset park
a nun still
as a rock
summer afternoon
song of the cicada
lazy in the heat
sun going down
cricets syncopate,
lengthening
so cool, past midnight
cricket’s drone
