I like this … although haiku is not metaphoric, we often perceive the stages of life development as its “seasons”. Here the snowman maintains his smile even as his existence comes to an end…then again, maybe I’m just reading too much into it.

I can just see the snowman and sun both getting lower and lower…wonderful!
