You have captured and transformed your vision into an almost black-and white portrait of the scene. But there is such poignancy and poetry in this verse. How many are awake to the flooding light, and the blessing that is the levee. I really love this poem!

I can see the moon rising above the barrier. My point of view of the town immediately went to "bird's eye".
