What a great poem Cynthia, I respond to this one on so many levels. Good work!
I can imagine so many scenarios here?perhaps it is a photo of a smiling child, or parents of a person who moved to the other side of the world, or a carefree young woman in the years before meeting her abusive partner. Very effective.
