    my black cat crosses the landing.
    new neighbor has a cat inside.
    new neighbor has put out
    a welcome mat,
    now with a spot of blood dropped by.

    stolen flower pot,
    great dirt left
    covering litter

  2. Such an evocative verse … the heat of the day cooling, parents calling it’s time to come inside and children begging for just five more minutes of playtime. I find myself starting this memory then drifting into more.
